About MNIT Jaipur

Established in 1963 as Malaviya Regional Engineering College, MNIT Jaipur was conferred the status of National Institute of Technology in 2002 and declared an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 2007. Located in the vibrant capital city of Rajasthan, the institute spans over 320 acres of lush green campus.

The institute is named after the great educationist and freedom fighter, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. MNIT Jaipur is committed to providing world-class education and conducting cutting-edge research in engineering, science, architecture, and management.

Academic Programs

MNIT Jaipur offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across multiple disciplines. The curriculum is designed to meet global standards and is regularly updated to incorporate emerging technologies.

Undergraduate (B.Tech)

4-year full-time programs in 10 specializations including Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, and Engineering Physics.

Intake: 1200 students annually through JEE (Main).

Postgraduate (M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, M.Arch)

2-year Master's programs in over 25 specializations. M.Tech in advanced engineering fields, M.Sc in Sciences, MBA in Technology Management, and M.Arch in Sustainable Architecture. Admissions through GATE, CAT, and institute-specific tests.

Intake: 600 students annually.

Doctoral (Ph.D.)

Full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs in Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, and Management. The institute has dedicated research centers with state-of-the-art facilities. Fellowships available through MHRD, CSIR, UGC, and industry collaborations.

Current Scholars: Over 450 Ph.D. candidates.

Centre for Renewable Energy

Developing innovative solar cell technologies, wind energy systems, and biofuel production methods. Recently secured a ₹12 Crore project from MNRE.

AI & Machine Learning Lab

Research in computer vision, natural language processing, and autonomous systems. Collaboration with Google, Microsoft, and IBM Research.

Water Resources Management

Developing sustainable solutions for water conservation and management in arid regions like Rajasthan. Funded by World Bank and Jal Shakti Ministry.
